Growth Mindset

 Welcome back to my blog!

Today's blog will be about a growth mindset. What is a growth mindset? A growth mindset is when you are positive and can learn from your mistakes. You take other peoples feedback and always try to do better.

The opposite of a growth mindset is a fixed mindset. This means that you are negative and don't think you can do better. You don't try very hard and don't take others feedback.

Comment question? What mindset do yoy have?

Writing create w5

Here is a paragraph I worte:

At least 795 million people go without food every day. By 2030 that number is expected to increase by 2 billion.  I could go on. How has this problem gotten this far without being fixed? I don't know, but what I do know is that this is a problem we CAN fix and we need to do it now. In 2015 the world gained 17 goals. Number 2 is zero hunger. By 2030 we need to reduce or wipe out world hunger or the problem will be a lot harder to reverse. The only way we can do this is by working together. We need to become a team of 7 billion.

Collaboration

 Welcome back!

Today blog im going to be talking about collaboration.

Why is collaboration important?

it is important because to work well as group and complete a product to a high standard you need to be able to collaborate with others and have good communication skills. To do this you need to be a good listener, let other people talk, think about other peoples ideas, do whats best for the group etc.

Mental Health Speech Intro

 Welcome back!

This term we are writing speeches, I have chosen to write my speech on mental health, because i think it is a big problem in our world today. Here is a paragraph I have wroten:

1 in 6 New Zealanders are diagnosed with a mental disorder at some point in their life. This means that around 833333 people struggle with mental illness. Having a mental illness is draining. Everyday is a battle. You lose friends and the things you used to enjoy aren't fun anymore, but still mental health isn't treated the same as physical health. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Why? Because if you aren't happy living your day to day life or you don't see the point in getting up in the morning then there is a problem. We need to fix it. New Zealand has the highest teen suicide rate in the world. In 2016 data shows that 554 people committed suicide. 554 people took their own lives because they didn't think there was a way out. In the whole world around every 40 second someone takes their own life. This needs to be talked about more.

Comment question: Please comment some feedback or what you think I should include In my speech

  • 1:6 NZ adults are diagnosed with a  mental disorder at some point during their lifespan

  • Females are more likely to experience a mental disorder no matter what age

Bike Maths Problem Solving W2

Welcome Back to my blog!
Last week for maths we were doing problem solving, based on a bike.
Here is the question:

We worked out that each time you turn the crank the pedal gear will rotate 1 time and the sprocket will rotate 3 times. So if you turned the crank 9 times then the wheel would move 27 times beacuse 9x3=27.

comment question: Ho would you havde worked out the first question?
