Stepout writing

For writing this term we have been doing a rotation between the four home base teachers. This is a paragraph from my follow up from step out writing with Miss Dungey. I called it Hammy and Ginger ( A take on Hansel and Gretel).

One terribly  rainy day Hammy was cooking his signature dish and Ginger was growing her favorite plant. Can you guess what it is? Yes Ginger. This is what they do every day and Once a week they go to the market to sell their food. While they did this they sang this song “ Hammy and Ginger had some ginger and ham ginger and ham it tasted way too gross. Everywhere they went the stink transported over town. As you can probably tell by the song it tasted disgusting but they were the only people that new how to cook in the town so if you didn't eat Hammy and Gingers food you would have to eat slimy worms and uncooked rotten mutton.

Thanks for reading my writing I hope you enjoyed it and have you ever done a take on a story before?

  1. This is rather gruesome. Can you explain what step up writing is? I like the idea of reshaping a well known story Such fun!
